László Kerecsényi (1526-1567), the captain of Gyula Castle in Hungary, defended against a fifteen-fold overpowering force for 60 days in 1566 with his soldiers. Eventually, due to the hopeless situation, he surrendered the now indefensible castle in exchange for free withdrawal.
